A domain can only be transferred if it is 60 days or older, has not been transferred within the last 60 days, has Whois Privacy or Theft protection disabled, has been unlocked and authorisation code (EPP code) has been obtained. Once those steps are complete, you can initiate the transfer.
The price of transferring a domain name depends on the extension. For example, a .COM domain cost $19 and .SG domain cost $49.95 to transfer. The transfer fee will also include a one-year registration extension for any transferred domains older than 45 days old, once the transfer has completed sucessfully.
The time it takes will depend on the registrar you are leaving (losing registrar). Under normal circumstances, it takes around 5 - 7 days. However, if you reach out to the losing registrar they can usually expedite the process.
Do take note that most EPP code has a limited validity time. Most are only valid for 5-7 days from date of issuance. If your EPP is no longer valid, please request for the authorisation code again.
